Whether they’ve been naughty or nice, I guess Santa Claus finally heard Mom and Dad’s common wish for the longest time. Oh, and not to mention he granted my big brother’s and my sister-in-law’s wishes too! And you could likewise count me in ’cause I’ve also been wishing for the same thing! Well let’s just put it this way, our whole family had the same wish! And God answered our prayers.
God gave our family and our clan an early Christmas present…the greatest gift that we could ever ask for this Yuletide season. Want to know what, er…WHO it was? Well what are you waiting for? Click away like there’s no tomorrow!
Mom and Dad are officially GRANDPARENTS now! Kuya Bon and Ate Owen are officially PARENTS now! And not to be left out, I’m officially an UNCLE now! After 9 long months of dwelling inside the womb, our little drummer boy, Baby Ian Benedict, finally came out to the world last December 9. To give you a bit of trivia, he’s got the same birthday as his mom, Ate Owen! So I guess it will be a double birthday bash next year! Mmmm…that means, December 9 of next year will be overflowing with food! Haha. Just kidding!
Awwwww…I could barely wait to hold him, carry him, cuddle him and everything! Recently, not a day could pass without me paying a visit to his plethora of pictures. He’s even on my cell as my wallpaper! Well who am I to blame?! I’m only human, and one proud uncle at that! Haha.
As per request by a very good blog friend of mine who says that I write better in free verse (read: CHEW-EE), I have here a non-metered composition to express my joy over our little angel, Ian Benedict!

An Early Christmas Present
Instantly upon hearing the good news, I jumped frantically.
A span of nine months, we all couldn’t wait any longer.
Nonetheless we endured everything, and time went as if it’s on fast forward.
By the many strokes of the clock, he finally arrived on the 9th.
Enveloped in warmth and love, the world heard his first cry.
No words could express how extremely happy we are inside.
Ear-to-ear, our cheeky grins extended literally.
Donned in soft and delicate fabric, he wiggled excitedly as ever.
It was a golden moment, for long we could cherish and remember.
Captured not only on film, but embellished deep within our hearts and minds.
There our innocent little angel, Ian Benedict, can forever and ever lie.

So there you have it my dearest readers. I hope you could feel how all of us in the family feels right now…happy as ever. Now here’s to waiting for our next angels to come! Next in line is Ate Chelay’s and Kuya Jobet’s Baby Girl! I’m so excited!!! Coming after my first degree nephew will be my first degree niece! Ain’t that lovely? I know it is. And then who knows? Maybe in a period of 10 years or so, I’ll be having my own angel too! Hahahaha! Naughtyyyyyyy!!!
