Hello everyone! We’re now on the thirteenth week of 2009. Does that ring a bell to you? It sure does to me. Haha! Well, never mind…whatever that is. It just means we’re down to our thirteenth deed. (Harrrr! This is getting so pathetic by the minute! Haha.)
So ummm…I apologize if I’m posting the deed on the LAST DAY of the week yet again. Sorry if it’s becoming a habit already. As I said before, weekdays are busy days in my schedule. I only get the golden chance to sit down and write during weekends, and if I ever got the chance to post something during the weekdays (in the last few weeks)…those were just lucky days. Guess that would be the goings-on in this blog as of the moment…well at least for now, ’cause my schedule won’t permit me to do something magical and blog-a-rrific! In the coming weeks, I think I’ll be able to find some nice time to write, and then finally be able to regain all the hysteria that I had for this whole blogging thingy. (I hope so.) For now, what I want you to do is to please bear with what my head’s churning out, okay?
Graaah! Enough with the rationalization, Raymond! Will you please stop making excuses, and just go on with the deed?! Haha. Okay, okay! Let’s go see what the thirteenth week has to offer for us.
Whaddya waitin’ for?! Click, click, click!

Make a list of ten blessings you got today. Right. Exactly what I need in this moment of personal turmoil. Need to quit thinking of the bad things that happened, and instead recollect everything good that I got for today. Errr, I guess it would be more appropriate if we change it to “Make a list of ten blessings that you got THIS WEEK”…so that it would be more fitting to the ‘deed for the week’ featurette thingy. Yeah. That’s it…
“Make a list of ten blessings you got this week.”
I’ll start the deed off by making my list. Here goes…
- I’ve been getting quite satisfactory results on some of the drills that we’ve had from our review classes. –Oh, walang papalag! May “quite” nga eh. Haha!
- I got to take ONE off from the ELEVEN cases that I needed to fulfill before I’m allowed to graduate. –At least may bawas na isa. So…sampu na lang kulang!
- Stress levels are much more lower and more tolerable this week, compared to the previous weeks. –What a relief! Tapos na ang acads.
- I’ve met new people who made me smile in spite of my problematic situation. –Salamat sa pagpapangiti sa ‘kin!
- I was able to eat three times a day (or more) for all the days of the week. –Naman. Kailangan pinagpapasalamat natin ang mga ganito! Maraming di kumakain sa mundo, kaya the fact na may kinakain tayo…we should be very thankful!
- I was able to accept the fact that I won’t be able to join the April 4 graduation rites. –Tanggap ko na. Tanggap na tanggap. Although may konting bitterness pa rin. Haha. Pero since most of my batchmates will be graduating on May (and when I say most, mga 75% ng batch namin ang ibig sabihin nun), eh di mas masaya! The more, the merrier!
- I’m still SANE enough after realizing the above situation. –Salamat po at walang naluwagang tornilyo. Haha!
- I’m slowly getting solid answers to some questions in my life, particularly those pertaining to my career path. –Mas nagkakaroon na ng liwanag. At mas nabibigyan na ng depinisyon ang daang tatahakin ko. Right on!
- Thank God I’m still alive. –Ano pa ba naman ang hihigit pa rito?! Syempre kailangan ko talagang ipagpasalamat na buhay pa din ako.
- Thank God everyone I love is alright. –Ano pa ba naman ang hihigit pa sa #9? Edi itong #10! Salamat po at nasa mabuting kalagayan ang lahat.
There you go. I wanted to make it more than ten, ’cause I have so many things to be thankful for…but since the card says only TEN, then I guess we just have to stick with that. Hehe. Now that I’m done, well…I encourage you guys to make your own lists! There’s nothing better than having to count all the blessings coming our way. Remove those negative thoughts. In the end we’ll all come to realize, “Ay oo nga no…mas marami yung grasyang natanggap ko. Deadma na lang sa mga pangit na nangyari. Mas matimbang naman yung mga magagandang naganap eh.” Now, that’s what you call “employing healthy coping skills”! In better and much simpler terms, that’s called…”LOOKING ON THE BRIGHT SIDE.”
“The great blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach;
but we shut our eyes, and, like people in the dark,
we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it.”
-Seneca
Let’s not be like the people who’ve chosen to be blinded by darkness. Let’s open our eyes, and count the gazillion blessings that we receive everyday. For when we start counting our blessings, only then will our lives make a turn for the better, if not the best. Have a blessed week everyone!
